Adapter Framework 2.1.0, released August 2026, is the first open source version of the product and has been the backbone of our AVEVA Adapter products. Using this framework, a user can create their own data collection application for processing a data specification of their choice and formatting it into OMF 1.2 or OMF 2.0 compliant formats.

For more information on product features and functions, including system requirements and adapter development, refer to the Adapter Framework guide.

The latest information about the 2.1.0 release is available online on the AVEVA Documentation Portal.

New features and enhancements

The following items were added in this release:

  • Adapter Framework (NuGet Package)

NuGet.org hosts 24 compiled packages for the Adapter Framework, allowing developers to start creating their own applications quickly. This is the recommended approach for most users.

  • Sample Adapter

A sample adapter, using the weather API as the data source, is available on AVEVA's GitHub page. This example helps developers get started and accelerate development.
