Welcome to the AVEVA Communication Drivers Pack (CDP) 2023 documentation.
Communication Drivers Pack enables secure, reliable connectivity between industrial devices, applications, and AVEVA operations software. It provides a comprehensive set of communication drivers and services that help you acquire, exchange, and publish operational data across your industrial ecosystem. This documentation includes information about installation, configuration, administration, security, troubleshooting, and driver-specific capabilities.
A Communication Driver is a component of a software system that connects your software application with sources of information on the factory floor. The OI Server Manager (also known as Communication Drivers Core) is a part of the Operations Control Management Console (OCMC) suite of utilities (previously known as System Management Console (SMC)). It enables the configuration, diagnosis, activation, or deactivation of a local Communication Driver located on a different node from the OI Server Manager.
