Create a new local user account

To create a new Local User account

1. Select Create User located to the right of the View User grid.

   The Create User window is displayed.

   

2. Enter the Local User Name, Password, and Email in the respective fields.

3. Select the security Roles that apply to this user

4. Select Save.

   This action adds the user to the local machine User accounts and as members of the selected Roles (user groups). This action also stores the information and sends an email to the user at the specified email address that includes the User ID, temporary password, and permissions level. When a new user is added to the local machine, the user is required to change their password the first time they sign in to AVEVA System Monitor.

   Note: User credentials are not stored in the AVEVA System Monitor database.

   The saved user information is displayed in the View Users tab.
