The AVEVA System Monitor (Version 1.8) release notes contain information on new features and enhancements, resolved and known issues, and documentation included in this release.

New features and enhancements

The following new features and enhancements were added in this release:

  • This version incorporates several security fixes.

  • Deployed agent with non-admin privileges.

  • Allowed System Monitor to use OAuth 2.0 for secure SMTP email communication.

  • Added a new plugin for System Monitor registration.

  • System Monitor is now integrated with AVEVA Identity Manager for secure user authentication and service-to-service communication.
