Configure chart properties

Basic

The basic settings allow customization of the chart's appearance and interactivity:

  1. Background: Configure background for the chart. You can choose gradient view or palette view to select the background color. Select apply to save the changes.

  2. Panning: Enable Panning to move the view without changing the zoom level.

  3. Zoom Type: Select the Zoom Type from the drop-down menu.

  4. ShowArea: Enable showArea option to display area in the chart view.

  5. Pankey: Enter the keyboard control used to interact (pan) a chart.

  6. Font Family: Enter the font family name used in the chart.

  7. Stacking: Select either normal or percentage stacking.

Legend

Configure the legend settings to control how the legend appears. By default, you can configure enabled and position.

  1. Enabled: Enable the option to view the legend on the chart.

  2. Select the position where the legend needs to be displayed in the chart view.

  3. Select the icon to view align and verticalAlign configuration. Select the alignment from the dropdown list.

    Label

    The labels are the text elements on the chart. By default, you can configure enabled, color, and Outline Color.

    1. Color: Configure label color for the chart. You can choose gradient view or palette view to select the background color. Select apply to save the changes.

    2. Enabled: Enable the option to view the labels on the chart.

    3. Outline color: Configure the outline color for the chart. You can choose gradient view or palette view to select the background color. Select apply to save the changes.

    4. Select the icon to view format configuration. Select the format value from the dropdown.

      Series

      Add and configure individual data series on the chart.

      1. Add New series: Select +ITEM to add a new series of item to the chart. Select the item type from the drop down and then provide a name to the item.

      2. Delete a series: Select -LAST ITEM to delete the recently added item and then select ALL to delete all items.

      3. Select the icon to view DashStyle, linewidth, and yAxis configuration.

      4. DashStyle: Select the style for the series line.

      5. LineWidth: Enter the line width for the chart.

      6. Stack: Determines whether to stack the values of each series on top of one another. Possible values are: undefined to disable stacking, "normal" to stack by value, or "percent" to stack as percentages.

      7. YAxis: Configure series positioning on the Y-Axis.

        Annotations

        Annotations can be used to add extra information on the chart.

        1. Add Annotations: Select +ITEM to add a new annotation to the chart. Select the item type from the drop down and then provide a name to the item.

        2. Delete Annotations: Select -LAST ITEM to delete the recently added item and then select ALL to delete all items.

        3. In Item, configure, label options, and labels.

        4. LabelOptions: Options for annotation labels are inherited from the labelOptions object. However, any option within labelOptions can be overridden by specific configurations for individual labels.

          1. BackgroundColor: Configure Background for the label option. You can choose gradient view or palette view to select the background color. Select apply to save the changes.

          2. Select the for basic to view Vertical Align and Y configuration.

          3. Vertical Align: Select vertical align position for labels.

          4. Y: Configure Y axis position.

        5. Labels:

          1. Add labels: Select +ITEM to add a new series of item to the chart. Select the item type from the drop down and then provide a name to the item.

          2. Delete labels: Select -LAST ITEM to delete the recently added item and then select ALL to delete all items.

          3. Basic configuration includes point, text, and X.

          4. Text: In the text field enter the text.

          5. Point configuration, enter the value for X, Y, Xaxis, YAxis.

          Colors

          For all the available items in the chart choose the color.

          1. You can choose gradient view or palette view to select the chart area color. Select apply to save the changes.

            Subtitle

            You can configure subtitle text for the chart. By default, configure the text.

            1. Select the icon to view other configurations.

            2. Text: Enter the text for subtitle.

            3. Align: Select the alignment for the subtitle from the dropdown list.

            4. Title Text Color: You can choose gradient view or palette view to select the subtitle color. Select apply to save the changes.

            5. Font Weight: Select if the subtitle should appear bold or normal.

            6. Vertical Align: Select vertical align position for subtitle.

              Title

              You can configure title text for the chart. By default, configure the text.

              1. Select the icon to view other configurations.

              2. Text: Enter the text for title.

              3. Align: Select the alignment for the title from the dropdown list.

              4. Title Text Color: You can choose gradient view or palette view to select the title color. Select apply to save the changes.

              5. Font Weight: Select if the title should appear bold or normal.

              6. Align: Select alignment for the title.

              7. Vertical Align: Select vertical align position for title.

                Tooltip

                By default, you can configure background color, enabled and shared.

                1. BackgroundColor: Configure Background for the tooltip. You can choose gradient view or palette view to select the background color. Select apply to save the changes.

                2. Enabled: Select this option to enable tooltip on the chart.

                3. Shared: Choose whether the tooltip should be shared across multiple chart elements.

                4. Format: This option allows you to customize the template for the tooltip content.

                  XAxis

                  Configure X-Axis for the chart. By default, configure opposite, plotBands, title, and visible.

                  1. Opposite: This option determines whether to display the axis on the opposite side of its default position. For vertical axes, the default is on the left, and for horizontal axes, it's at the bottom; the opposite sides would be on the right and top, respectively. This setting is commonly used with dual or multiple axes. By default, it is set to false.

                  2. Visible: Enable the option to view the XAxis on the chart.

                  3. PlotBands: A series of colored bands extending across the plot area to indicate an interval on the axis.

                    1. Select +ITEM to add a new annotation to the chart.

                    2. Select the item type from the drop down and then provide a name to the item.

                    3. Select -LAST ITEM to delete the recently added item and then select ALL to delete all items.

                    4. BackgroundColor: Configure Background for the plot bands. You can choose gradient view or palette view to select the background color. Select apply to save the changes.

                    5. From: The starting position of the plot band in axis units.

                    6. Label: Enter the text for the Plot bands.

                    7. To: The ending position of the plot band in axis units.

                  4. Title: By default, configure the text.

                    1. Select the icon to view other configurations.

                    2. Text: Enter the text for title.

                    3. Align: Select the alignment for the title from the dropdown list.

                    4. Title Text Color: You can choose gradient view or palette view to select the title color. Select apply to save the changes.

                    5. Font Weight: Select if the title should appear bold or normal.

                    6. Vertical Align: Select vertical align position for title.

                  5. Categories:

                    1. Select +ITEM to add a new annotation to the chart.

                    2. Select the item type from the drop down and then provide a name to the item.

                    3. Select -LAST ITEM to delete the recently added item and then select ALL to delete all items.

                  6. Grid Line Color: Configure Background for the grid lines. You can choose gradient view or palette view to select the background color. Select apply to save the changes.

                  7. Grid LineWidth: Enter the width of the grid line.

                    YAxis

                    Configure Y-Axis for the chart. By default, configure opposite, plotBands, title, and visible.

                    1. Opposite: Specifies whether to display the axis on the opposite side of its default position. For vertical axes, the default is on the left, and for horizontal axes, it's at the bottom; the opposite sides are right and top, respectively. This is often used with dual or multiple axes. By default, it is set to false.

                    2. Visible: Enable the option to view the XAxis on the chart.
