Learn about pre-installation tasks

Before installing the software, complete the following tasks. See subsequent topics for more details about each task.

1. Verify the host meets the software requirements for the connector.

2. If the data source has additional requirements for installation, complete those tasks.

3. Configure security for the connector and your network.

4. Identify the administration port number.
