Interface Selection tab

The Interface Selection tab is where you select or add a new instance of an interface.

To get started, select Interface Selection in the left panel. The Create new interface window displays where you can select an interface from the drop-down.

Note: PI Event Frames Manager defaults to the batch interface package with which it was installed. You will see the name of the default batch interface listed, along with the drop-down menu from which you can select another installed instance.

The Interface Selection tab also provides options to add or remove interface instances:

Adding an interface

1. Select Add Interface to display the dialog window.

2. Enter a Service ID to provide a unique identity for the configuration instance. You can also provide an Interface description if needed.

   Note: You can include a hyphen within the unique Service ID, however a Service ID cannot begin with a hyphen (-). If you enter a Service ID that begins with a hyphen (for example, "-1000"), an error message displays.

3. Select OK. The Interface field displays the name of the PI EFGen instance you created.

Removing an interface

4. From the Interface Selection page, select the interface from the drop-down menu.

5. Select Remove Interface.
