PI to PI Interface

Location3 (status events, snapshot data, digital states, and point logging)

Location3 is used to configure how the interface handles interface status events, snapshot data, point-level debugging, and the writing of unexpected digital states received from the source PI point to the target PI point.

Interface status events include IO Timeout and Access Denied events. IO Timeout status events result in a data gap for periods of Data Archive disconnection. See Interface status events for a complete discussion.

If a tag is configured for archive data collection, this attribute also specifies whether or not the snapshot value is included with each scan update. Points configured for exception collection will always include the snapshot.

For non-digital type PI points, if the source PI point contains a SYSTEM digital state, this attribute specifies whether or not the target PI point is updated with the unexpected SYSTEM digital state. For digital type PI points, if the source PI point contains a SYSTEM digital state or an unexpected digital state value instead of an expected value, this attribute specifies whether or not the target PI point is updated with the SYSTEM digital state or the unexpected digital state value.
