File transfer and backup folder

All versions of AVEVA Process Simulation in a tenant share a centralized asbackup folder for each user. Users can access their files from any version within the tenant, providing a unified file storage experience.

To transfer files

1. Download files from the AVEVA Process Simulation on CONNECT virtual machine (VM) to your local computer or VM.

2. Upload files to the new version.

3. Copy files to c:\asbackup.

   See the note about storage specificity.

4. Open the files in the target version and then re-save them.

Changes made to the asbackup folder are saved to cloud storage every five minutes to help protect your data in the event of a crash or a connectivity loss.

AVEVA Process Simulation on CONNECT cloud storage backup is case specific. The backup and retrieval user and tenant must match.
