New features and enhancements

AVEVA Historian Server 2023 R2 SP2 applications include the following features and enhancements.
Historian Client Web Modern updated to .NET 10 framework
The product now allows updating .NET independently of the application itself, decoupling .NET updates from app updates.
Once AVEVA has validated and declared support for a new .NET runtime version, customers can implement in-place upgrades to update the underlying .NET version with minimal disruption. Instead of requiring a full product release and upgrade for every .NET lifecycle change, the platform now supports .NET roll-forward, enabling runtime upgrades through a delta deployment or, at most, a system reboot. This change directly addresses the accelerating .NET end-of-life cadence and increasing customer cybersecurity pressure to remain on supported runtimes.
Note that the new .NET runtime version must be qualified by AVEVA before proceeding with an update. Check the GCS Technology Matrix and verify that the .NET version you want to install has been tested and validated before updating.
Historian Client Web Modern browse content page has been updated
The browser in the Historian Client Web Modern version has been streamlined for added clarity and ease of use.
Historian Client Web internal search engine improved
Historian Client Web now uses Lucene for its internal search engine instead of ElasticSearch.
