The AVEVA System Monitor (Version 2.0) release notes contain information on new features and enhancements, resolved and known issues, and documentation included in this release.

Expectations and limitations

The following expectations and limitations apply to this release:

System Monitor 2.0 is only upgraded with the SP 2026 media.

New features and enhancements

The following new and enhanced functionality is delivered as part of AVEVA System Monitor 2.0 release.

  • This version incorporates several security fixes.

  • Deployed agent with non-admin privileges.

  • Allowed System Monitor to use OAuth 2.0 for secure SMTP email communication.

  • Added a new plugin for System Monitor registration.

  • System Monitor is now integrated with AVEVA Identity Manager for secure user authentication and service-to-service communication.

  • Added offline help support with PDF launch capability.

  • AVEVA System Monitor documentation is now available on AVEVA Documentation Portal.

Resolved issues

AVEVA System Monitor 2.0 includes corrections for the issues listed in the following table. These issues are listed by their Defect ID (IMS number), any assigned Service Request (SR) or Case Number with a brief description of the defect.

Notice – Online help access: System Platform 2026 does not include online help files or the AVEVA Help Viewer. Context-sensitive help calls now open the corresponding content on docs.aveva.com.

If internet access is not available, selecting a help link displays a QR code that you can scan with an internet-connected mobile device to open the help content.

All product documentation is still available in PDF format on the installation media, and is installed locally when you install System Platform.

AVEVA System Monitor documentation is offered in two different media:

  • The product documentation is available on the AVEVA Documentation Portal. To comply with the portal guidelines, the style and tone of the documentation content has been modified. Hence, the content available on the portal may differ slightly from the documentation delivered with the product release.

  • Portable Document Files (PDF), which can be viewed with Adobe® Reader®. The user guide is included on the AVEVA System Monitor installation media as a PDF file.
