Create a new Galaxy

A Galaxy is a repository for imported graphics, objects and style libraries. You first need to create a new Galaxy to store the imported graphics, objects and style libraries.

To create a new Galaxy:

  1. Go to Start>System Platform>System Platform IDE.

    The System Platform Integrated Development environment is displayed.

  2. Click Galaxy>New>Blank Galaxy.

    The Create Galaxy dialog appears.

  3. Create a "UOC_Mining" Galaxy with Template name "Default_EMPTY.Cab".

    Note: Hover over the Blank Galaxy to display the correct galaxy to use.

  4. Click Create to connect to the new galaxy.

  5. Select Galaxy>Configure>Security.

  6. In the Authentication Mode tab, select OS User based Authentication mode.

  7. In the Users tab, click Add new user and, add OS/Domain user.

  8. Select newly added users.

  9. Select the Administrator and Default checkboxes under Associated Roles.

  10. Click OK.

  11. Login to the galaxy using OS/Domain user added.
