Use the Accessibility widget to customize your portal experience

The accessibility widget provides a variety of options that you can apply for a more personalized and accessible experience on the AVEVA Documentation Portal. Follow the steps below to open the widget and select your personalization options.
Open the accessibility widget

From any page on the AVEVA Documentation Portal, select the Accessibility icon in the lower right corner.

The accessibility widget displays several options to personalize your experience on the portal.

Select one or more individual accessibility options or use the Accessibility Profiles to automatically enable multiple options most frequently utilized by users who identify with those accessibility needs.

When you apply an accessibility option in the widget, the widget icon displays a green checkmark.

Text Spacing |
Modifies text and line spacing for improved readability to aid dyslexic and visually impaired users. Offers three degrees of adjustments for more accessible reading |

Pause Animations |
Pauses content that moves or auto-updates. Stops animations, blinking, and flashing content |

Hide Images |
Hides images from the site |

Dyslexia Friendly |
Applies a dyslexia friendly font to enhance readability for those with dyslexia |

Cursor |
Increases the standard cursor size by 400% to ensure the pointer always remains in sight. Provides two reading bar options to assist in focus when reading |

Tooltips |
Shows alternative text for on-screen elements with a mouse hover. Tooltips are prominent, high contrast, and easy to read for low-vision users with accessibility needs. |

Video Tutorial: Use the accessibility widget to customize your portal experience
Our accessibility widget on the AVEVA documentation portal lets you change the visual style to accommodate your individual preferences and needs while you access the site.
Select the icon in the bottom right corner to open the accessibility widget.
Select the language drop-down to change the language of all text within the widget.
Select the accessibility profiles drop-down to choose from one of eight pre-defined profiles to enable the settings most used by individuals with these specific accessibility needs.
If you have difficulty viewing the widget on your screen, select the XL Oversized Widget toggle to make everything larger.
To customize your experience further, you can select each individual Accessibility Setting. Some settings, like Contrast, Bigger Text, and Text Spacing have more than one option that you can cycle through with subsequent selections.
You can change the position of the widget to the left or right side of the screen by selecting an option in the Move/Hide Widget drop-down. If you prefer not to use the widget, you can choose to hide it for a specified duration of time or indefinitely.
The accessibility widget will retain all your selections until you clear your browser cache or you remove all your enabled Accessibility settings by selecting the "Reset All Accessibility Settings" button.
