Adapter Framework: 2.1.0
Version 1.3.0, released October 14, 2026, is a maintenance release adding support for .NET 10 and Windows Server 2025, and minor updates.
For more information on product features and functions, refer to CONNECT to PI Agent.
New features and enhancements
The following new features and enhancements were added:
-
The agent and configuration utility now run on .NET 10.
-
Windows Server 2025 is now supported.
-
The agent now uses exponential backoff when it retries getting streaming updates after a failure, which reduces the load on CONNECT data services during outages.
-
At the start of a transfer, the agent now cleans up expired and stale streaming updates signups that it owns, and logs an error for each stream in the data selections that is not accessible.
Resolved issues
The following issues were resolved:
|
Work Item |
Description |
|---|---|
|
4905825 |
When a string value was written to a numeric property of an SDS stream (for example, "12.5" for a Float property), SDS accepted the value, but the agent failed to process the corresponding streaming update. This problem has been fixed. The agent now converts such values to the target type of the property. |
|
4394330 |
When the limit of streaming updates signups was reached in CONNECT data services (HTTP status code 409), the agent could not create a new signup and the transfer of streaming data stopped. This problem has been fixed. The agent now removes its expired and stale signups, keeps retrying, and logs an error while the limit is reached. |
|
4850135 |
The CONNECT to PI Configuration Utility failed to locate the agent configuration when the agent was installed to a non-default installation path. This problem has been fixed. |
|
5052220 |
The CONNECT to PI Configuration Utility no longer creates a new set of client credentials every time the configuration is saved. Existing credentials are reused when the tenant is unchanged and the credentials still exist in CONNECT. New credentials are created only when the tenant changes or the existing credentials are missing or were deleted in CONNECT. This prevents the agent from losing access to the communities the client has been added to. |
