Introduction

The AVEVA Common Services Portal monitors and reports on the status of AVEVA services that are managed by the Platform Common Services framework. It can detect and report on services for any application that runs on the ASB Framework. The portal was first released with version 4.2 of the ASB Framework. The ASB Framework is now called Platform Common Services.

The AVEVA Common Services Portal is installed when you install Platform Common Services.

With the AVEVA Common Services Portal application, you can:

• View the status of services.

• Identify any issues with the underlying framework.

• Troubleshoot and resolve identified issues.

• Export the details of these issues to a file for further investigation and analysis.

  Note: The 'AVEVA Agent (Watchdog)' service needs to be running for the AVEVA Common Services Portal application to gather information about services.

To run AVEVA Common Services Portal, from the Windows Start menu, select the AVEVA program group and select AVEVA Common Services Portal.
