Repair or reinstall Platform Common Services

Some issues detected by AVEVA Common Services Portal may require Platform Common Services to be repaired or re-installed in order to fix these issues. It is recommended that you review this section carefully before you proceed with repairing or reinstalling Platform Common Services.

Repair Platform Common Services

1. From the Windows Control Panel, select Programs>Uninstall a program.

2. Locate AVEVA Platform Common Services in the list of programs.

3. Do one of the following:

   1. Right-click and select Change.

      Platform Common Service Setup window appears

   2. Select Next, and then select Repair.

alternatively,

1. Select Repair.

Re-install Platform Common Services

4. From the Windows Control Panel, select Programs>Uninstall a program.

5. Locate AVEVA Platform Common Services in the list of programs.

6. Select Uninstall.

7. Open a command prompt in Admin mode.

8. Navigate to the folder in which the Platform Common Services installer is located.

9. Run the installer - ASBFrameworkInstallx64.msi for x64 OS or ASBFrameworkInstalls86.msi for x86 OS.

IMPORTANT: When repairing or re-installing Platform Common Services, the node on which it is installed is not reachable.
