AVEVA Edge Data Store 2025 release notes

AVEVA Edge Data Store 2025 (1.2.0.102), released June 2025, is a feature release that adds support for Kerberos authentication, stream and type prefixing, enhanced data filtering and metadata egress, new SDS configuration options, improved stream update handling, and installation improvements.

The 2025 release uses Version 1.2.0.102 of AVEVA Edge Data Store, Version 1.6.0.354 of AVEVA Adapter for Modbus TCP, Version 1.5.0.373 of AVEVA Adapter for OPC UA, and Version 1.8.1.62 of the Adapter Framework.

New features and enhancements

This section lists the enhancements in this release:

• Manual egress now supports type and stream prefixing

• Added Kerberos authentication support against PI Web API endpoint

• Data filtering behavior is now more in line with Adapter data filtering and will only egress an event when a value passes the filter

• Quality schema metadata for Adapter-defined types is now egressed, so that the PI System can properly interpret event quality

• Added SDS log level setting

• Added SDS stream cache size configuration setting

• Stream tag and metadata updates are now properly egressed to data endpoints

• Visual C++ Redistributable files are now included in the Windows installer

• Renamed product to AVEVA Edge Data Store
