Linked registers

Use the Linked Register to maintain and publish information associated with records in a parent or Tracker Register.
Linked Registers allow additional data to be published from the same source without mapping multiple registers directly to the same input file.
Recommended practice
-
Do not map multiple registers to the same input file - use Linked Registers instead.
The source file is processed once by the Tracker Register, while Linked Registers publish the required associated data.
Benefits
-
Single source processing: the input file is processed only once.
-
Stable record identity: the Tracker Register uses a persistent source identifier.
-
Flexible publishing: Linked Registers can use different Record Identifiers and data expressions.
-
Improved synchronization: linked data remains aligned with the parent register.
-
Reduced duplication: avoids mapping multiple registers to the same source file.
