Upgrade AVEVA Identity Manager (PCS)

The userappsettings.json is not overwritten during upgrade. If you have been advised by AVEVA customer support to modify a setting in this file, configure any settings that must persist across upgrades in the userappsettings.json file.

Note: Settings that are required after an upgrade should always be configured in userappsettings.json.

Post‑upgrade verification

After upgrading AIM/PCS, verify the following configurations:

• PCS AIM configuration, including appsettings-related items

• PCS AIM service account

• System Management Server (SMS) configuration, when upgrading to newer frameworks

  Note: Always upgrade the System Management Server (SMS) before upgrading any AIM/PCS components.
