AVEVA™ Identity Manager

Configure the provider option as None

To configure None as the provider option, complete the following steps:

  1. Select None as the FIDP option.

  2. Sign in to Identity Manager using Windows Active Directory credentials only. This supports domain users and local users (on the computer where Identity Manager is configured).

  3. Enter credentials using one of the following supported formats:

    • SAN format: <domainname>/<username>

    • Email address format: <username>@<domain.com>

When the FIDP plugin is set to Microsoft Entra ID or CONNECT, any sign-in entered in email format (username@domain.com) is treated as an external identity-provider login and is redirected to the configured FIDP when available. As a result, you cannot use the email format to authenticate against Windows Active Directory in this configuration; you must use the Windows AD sign-in format (for example, <domain>\<username>).
