Name allocation manager (NAM) is a name allocation service designed to streamline and standardize name allocation processes across the AVEVA portfolio, encompassing various applications, services, and third-party/customer engagements. NAM allows management of name templates, construction and allocation of names as per name templates, constraints and rules. It empowers users of AVEVA software such as AVEVA Engineering to request names for tag number allocation. Leveraging the robust infrastructure of Microsoft Azure, the solution offers an accessible open API and operates within a secure multi-tenant environment that is integrated with CONNECT.
