If you want to upgrade your PI Connector for IEC 61850 from generation 1.0 to generation 2.0, you have to uninstall generation 1.0 before installing generation 2. Follow this procedure and use an account with administrator privileges.

Note: Save your data source settings before uninstalling PI Connector for IEC 61850 generation 1.0.

  1. From the Windows menu, select Control Panel > System and Security > Administrative Tools > Services.

  2. In the Services (Local) window, scroll to the service for PI Connector for IEC 61850.

  3. Right-click the service and then select Stop.

  4. Uninstall the connector using one of the following methods:

    • From the Windows menu, select Control Panel > Programs and Features and then select the connector and select Uninstall.

    • In the extraction folder created by the setup kit, right-click the ConnectorName.msi file and then select Uninstall.

  5. Install the connector.
