Upgrade PI Connector for IEC 61850

If you want to upgrade your PI Connector for IEC 61850 from generation 1.0 to generation 2.0, you have to uninstall generation 1.0 before installing generation 2. Follow this procedure and use an account with administrator privileges.

Note: Save your data source settings before uninstalling PI Connector for IEC 61850 generation 1.0.

1. From the Windows menu, click Control Panel > System and Security > Administrative Tools > Services.

2. In the Services (Local) window, scroll to the service for PI Connector for IEC 61850.

3. Right-click the service and then click Stop.

4. Uninstall the connector using one of the following methods:

   • From the Windows menu, click Control Panel > Programs and Features and then select the connector and click Uninstall.

   • In the extraction folder created by the setup kit, right-click the ConnectorName.msi file and then click Uninstall.

5. Install the connector.
