Once configured, PI Connector for Siemens SIMATIC PCS7 performs the following tasks:

Browses the OpenPCS 7 hierarchies or sub-hierarchies and allows exporting the discovered OpenPCS 7 block types and attributes into a .csv file

Applies the object filter in the form of pre-selected block types and their attributes

Creates PI AF templates, elements and attributes, event frames and PI points

Reads history from those OpenPCS 7 dynamic variables that have historical data
-
Collects data from OpenPCS 7 variables through subscriptions
