Verify connection from data source to PI Connector for Siemens SIMATIC PCS 7

Ensure the connector service status is Running. From the Start menu, run services.msc, then locate the connector service. Also, ensure that the Siemens OPC UA server for OpenPCS 7 is running.

View the current state of specific data source using the PI Connector administration site page.

1. Open the PI Connector administration site page and verify that the specific Data Source is green and marked as ‘Connected’.

2. Check the PI connector message log by navigating to Diagnostics/Advance Diagnostics and select item Message Log in the drop-down menu.

   The message Error establishing connection indicates that the PI Connector is not able to establish connection to the configured OPC UA server.

3. Verify the existence of the client connection entry in the list of connected clients on the OPC UA server.
