The solitary descriptor specifies an output point that is not to be optimized (that is, grouped with any other output points), to ensure that an output point is updated when its associated source point is updated without depending on the updates to all of the source points associated with the output points in a group of contiguous points. Because the solitary descriptor might break up a single point group of optimized output, use this descriptor with care.
