AVEVA Process Simulation on CONNECT

Use Microsoft Excel

You can use Microsoft Excel in your AVEVA Process Simulation on CONNECT environment, but you need an eligible Microsoft 365 license.

To do this, sign in with your work account. The account requires a Microsoft 365 license that includes Microsoft 365 applications and supports Shared Computer Activation.

Sign in to Microsoft Excel

  1. Start Excel.

The first time you open Excel, an Activate Office or sign-in prompt might appear.

  2. Sign in with the work or school account associated with your eligible Microsoft 365 Apps license.

Complete multi-factor authentication (MFA) or any other required sign-in verification.

  3. If you're prompted to sign in or register the device with your organization, select No, sign in to this app only.

  4. From the File menu, select Account.

  5. Verify that the expected account is signed in and that Excel shows an activated or licensed status.

Each user must sign in and activate Excel. Activation by one user does not activate Excel for other users on the virtual machine. Shared Computer Activation stores a licensing token in each user's Windows profile and normally renews it automatically while the user is signed in and uses Microsoft 365.
