Install a Read-Only interface

Complete the following steps to install the Read-Only interface:

1. Locate the Read-Only install kit you downloaded from the customer portal.

   "Read-Only" install kits are labeled as shown below:

   

   The downloaded .exe file can be copied from your downloads folder to a location of your choosing.

2. Double-click the .exe file marked <InterfaceName>_ReadOnly_<VersionNumber>_.exe to install the interface. For example: OPCHDAInt_ReadOnly_1.5.1.6_.exe.

   After the installation completes, the installed files are located in the following directory:

   %PIHOME%\Interfaces\<GenericName>_ReadOnly

   For example, when the Read-Only option of the OPC DA (OPCInt) interface is installed, the installed files are located in the following directory:

   %PIHOME%\Interfaces\OPCInt_ReadOnly
