The AVEVA Web Client is a shared component that enables browser-based access to both OMI and InTouch HMI applications. During the System Platform installation, you can select the required products to install or upgrade. The Web Client is installed or upgraded automatically based on the selected product.

In the System Platform installer:

  • If you select AVEVA Application Server the Web Client for OMI users will be installed.

  • If you select AVEVA InTouch HMI the Web Client for InTouch users will be installed.

  • If you select both Application Server and InTouch HMI together the Web Client for both OMI and InTouch users will be installed.

For steps on how to install or upgrade AVEVA Application Server and AVEVA InTouch HMI refer to the respective product help documents. After installing the AVEVA Web Client, open the Configurator to configure Web Client Settings and Role Management. For more information, see Configure AVEVA Web Client settings and Configure Role Management plugin.
