Upgrade the adapter

When a new version of the adapter is released, you can upgrade to the latest version by running the new installation package.

Windows upgrade

Complete the following steps to upgrade an AVEVA adapter on a Windows computer:

1. Download AVEVA-Adapter-for-BACnet-1.2.0.158-x64_.msi from the AVEVA Customer Portal.

   Note: Customer login credentials are required to access the portal.

2. Run the installer and complete the setup wizard.

3. Linux upgrade

Complete the following steps to upgrade an AVEVA adapter on a Linux computer:

1. Download the appropriate Linux distribution file from the AVEVA Customer Portal.

Note: Customer login credentials are required to access the portal.

2. Open a terminal session.

3. Move the Linux distribution file to the target host and run the sudo apt upgrade command.
