Administer the BACnet adapter

With the adapter administration level functions, you can perform a number of actions pertaining to the adapter service:

• Start and stop an adapter service

• Start and stop a data ingress component

• Delete an adapter component

• Retrieve product version information

• Manage adapter-wide settings, such as setting metadata level and enabling diagnostics

You can use any of the Configuration tools mentioned in the Get Started section to manage your adapter service.

The examples in the administration topics use cURL, a commonly available tool on both Windows and Linux. You can use the same operations with any programming language or tool that supports making REST calls.

You can also configure AVEVA adapters with the EdgeCmd utility. For more information, see the EdgeCmd utility documentation. To validate successful configurations, you can accomplish data retrieval steps (GET commands) using a browser, if available on your device.
