Acquire a copy of the self-signed certificate

Before you can trust a self-signed certificate, you need a copy of the certificate on your system. If you already have a copy of the certificate, proceed to Trusting a Self-Signed Certificate.
Obtain a copy of the self-signed certificate

In your browser, browse to the AVEVA Historian Client Web URL.

In the address bar, select the warning message indicating your connection is not secure.

Select Certificate (Invalid). The Certificate details dialog displays:

To trust the certificate, first you must save a copy. Select the Details tab.

Select Copy to File. The Certificate Export Wizard displays:

Select Next.

Select DER encoded binary X.509 (.CER) as the export file format:

Select Next.

Select Browse and choose a location to save the exported certificate.

Select Next.

Select Finish to export the certificate to the selected file:
