These release notes describe enhancements to and include resolved and known issues where applicable.

New features and enhancements
-
Migrate to .NET 10.0:
The Gateway is upgraded from .NET 8.0 to .NET 10 to enhance performance, strengthen security, and ensure long-term support.
This release supports .NET 10, as .NET 8 will reach end of Microsoft support on 10 Nov 2026.
Resolved issues
No open issues were resolved in this release.
Known issues
AutoCAD files
When the input DWG files are stored in an S3 bucket, support for multiple layouts is limited to only the “Active” layout. If other layouts need to be extracted then the DWG files should first be copied to a server folder and then processed by the Gateway.
MicroStation files
We have noticed on one MicroStation DGN file that when processed the SVG view in AIM is zoomed too far out to be viewable in AIM. This was due to some blank text labels created in the input DGN file at large distances from the main drawing boundary. As the extractor for MicroStation 2D uses third party software to read the DGN files, we are waiting to receive a fix from that supplier.
The recommended workaround is to open the drawing in MicroStation, select all items in the visible part of the drawing and copy them to a new DGN instance.
Smart PID files
Tests using SmartSketch 2018 have shown instability issues where some graphical items are sometimes missing from the Gateway extraction process and hence not included in the SVG. This issue is most repeatable with embedded objects in SmartFrames which also can be parts of symbols. SmartSketch provides no warning that they couldn’t be read. Processing the same file again usually recovers these ‘lost’ items. We recommend that only SmartSketch 11.1 (aka 11.01) and its latest hotfix should be used to avoid this risk of ‘lost’ graphics.
When using the latest licensing system required by SmartSketch, you may experience delays in SPID Extraction due to SmartSketch initialization. This is logged as a list of subsequent attempts to connect to the SmartSketch API. The delay should not exceed 1 minute unless the SmartSketch license is already claimed by another SmartSketch user.
