• Modernizing Power Distribution - PI Connector for IEC 61850:

  A gas and electricity distributor in the Netherlands used PI Connector for IEC 61850 to bring nearly 200 substations into compliance with the IEC 61850 standard for substation automation.

• Securing Pharmaceutical Manufacturing Access - PI System Connector:

  A biotechnology company deployed PI System Connector to move data from MES, automation, and BMS sources between two PI systems; securely passing data up through the firewall separating the two. The effect on their processing was that cultures could immediately be identified as compliant with standards and regulations, which, in an earlier times, would often not be known until a day after the production run.

• Improving High-Tech Engineering - PI Connector for Siemens, MT Connect, FANUC, and OPC UA:

  A high-tech engineering company launched a companywide initiative to standardize their asset data collection using PI Asset Framework (AF) and PI Connector technology. PI connectors were installed to draw data from their Computer Numerical Control (CNC) machines and to automatically create an asset hierarchy and maintain PI points. • Managing Change in the Gas and Oil Industry PI Connector for Cygnet:

  A gas and oil company with global assets implemented PI Connector for Cygnet to monitor 600,000 PI tags across 15,000 PI elements in 30,000 facility types.
