Manually create a filter file

You can manually create a filter file in CSV format to select specific objects for data collection.

1. Create a CSV file with the following column headers:

   * Indicates a required column

   Select(x), IP Address*, Device Instance Number*, Device Name, Network Number, BACnet MAC Address, Object Name, Description, Object Type*, Instance Number*, Units, Data Collection Mode, Data Collection Interval, and COVIncrement.

2. Enter an x in the Select(x) column to select the desired object. Below is an example of a sample CSV file.

   Note: Lines that begin with # are comments and are ignored by the connector.

   

3. (Optional) To configure an object for a different poll interval or Change Of Value (COV) data collection, see Poll for objects at different scan intervals or Change Of Value (COV) data collection for instructions respectively.

4. Save the file.
