Selection of devices or objects

Follow the steps in this topic to select specific BACnet devices or objects from which to collect data. To collect data for all BACnet devices and objects that were discovered by the connector, see Add data sources to the PI Connector for BACnet.

1. Generate a CSV file with full device and object list with the BACnet Network Discovery Tool, and select the desired rows. See Run the BACnet Network Discovery Tool.

   Note: Optionally, you can also manually create a filter file. To do this, see Manually create a filter file.

2. Upload the file to the BACnet connector configuration page.

3. Start the connector.
