Install AVEVA PI OPC UA Server

Use the following steps to install the PI OPC UA Server.

1. Double-click the AVEVA PI OPC UA Server_xxx.exe file to start the installation.

2. From the Welcome screen, review the list of products that will be installed and select Next.

3. At the Installation Directory screen, either define a new directory or select Install to accept the default installation directory. The installation commences as the Installation Progress window shows the active installation.

4. When the installation is complete, either accept the prompt to Launch AVEVA Configurator or deselect to not launch the program. See Note below for further guidance.

5. Select Close to exit the installer. If launching the configuration tool, see Configure the AVEVA PI OPC UA Server.

   Note: Depending on the system configuration, the Installation Complete view may show a message stating that a reboot is necessary to complete the installation. If you wish to configure the PI OPC UA Server before performing the reboot, select No and proceed to the Configuration step, just reboot the machine afterwards. Otherwise, it is recommended to select Yes. Launch the AVEVA Configurator at any time from the AVEVA folder using the Windows Start menu.
