Current reads

Current data reads retrieve the latest value and status of a variable node from the server. Unlike historical reads, they do not access archived data, but only the value as it exists at the moment of the read request. All nodes of OPC UA Variable type, including properties, may have their current value read.

Current writes

If the system is configured to allow data writes, a data write operation will write a value and timestamp to an OPC UA variable node. Note that data writes will not succeed for nodes that are properties, or for nodes that represent AF Attributes that are configuration items.
