This document is intended for individuals who need to design and/or implement AVEVA Unified Operations Center (UOC), and it assumes that you have knowledge of System Platform tools and features. If you are unfamiliar with this, we recommend that you familiarize yourself with the following AVEVA products and their underlying technologies. These concepts are widely applied in Unified Operations Center (UOC).

  • Installing and configuring AVEVA System Platform.

  • AVEVA System Platform IDE, including how to create, configure, and maintain the objects that comprise your application and the underlying infrastructure that supports your application.

  • AVEVA Application Server, which provides an object-based framework repository to construct an asset hierarchy for your physical processes. You are required to know Galaxy management, deployment, and operation of the run-time elements that form a System Platform application.

  • Operations Management Interface, which includes screen profiles, layouts, industrial graphics, and OMI widgets.

  • AVEVA PI Web API and AVEVA PI AF SDK.

  • AVEVA OMI Apps for AVEVA Asset Information Management.

  • AVEVA Historian, which includes acquiring data from various sources. Storing, retrieving, and replicating stored data for security; querying data using time domain extensions to SQL; and creating, saving, and sharing graphical content.

  • AVEVA Communication Drivers, which connect your software application with sources of information on the organization unit.
