Solar Plant

• Select Display side-In pane in the Solar- Operations and Control window to view the Solar Plant.

  The Solar Plant Block diagram is displayed.

  

The Solar Plant consists of:

• Solar Panels-Collect energy from the sun in the form of sunlight and convert it into electricity.

• String Container Box-Consolidates incoming power into one main feed that distributes to a solar inverter.

• Central Inverter-Converts the DC power generated from the solar modules into AC power.

• Transformer-Transfers electric energy from one AC circuit to one or more other circuits.

• Switch Gear-Controls, protects, and isolates power with a variety of switching devices.

• Sub Station-Steps down high voltage electricity to low voltage electricity.It is involved in generation, transmission and distribution of electricity to low tension distribution area/region.
