Diagnostics

The adapter and its components produce diagnostic data that can be used to monitor adapter health and performance. Diagnostic data is sent to configured health endpoints, where it can be consumed by external monitoring and management systems.

Use the enableDiagnostics parameter in the System_General.json to enable or disable diagnostics collection. This setting can also be modified at runtime through REST API calls or the EdgeCmd utility. Diagnostics are collected by default.

To egress diagnostic data, you must first configure a health endpoint. See Configure health endpoints for additional information.

The following section describes the diagnostics data available for this adapter.

Available diagnostics data

Dynamic data is sent every minute to configured Health endpoints.

The following diagnostics data are available:

• System

• Stream count

• IO rate

• Error rate

If you have client-level failover configured, the following diagnostics data is also available:

• Failover status
