Overview

AVEVA Adapter for Structured Data Files transfers time-series data from source files in a local or remote directory to Open Message Format (OMF) endpoints in CONNECT data services or PI Servers. This adapter supports source files in XML, CSV, and JSON formats.

AVEVA Adapter for Structured Data Files collects health and diagnostic information, supports automatic buffering on-disk or in-memory, offers the ability to discover available data items in source files, and supports installation on various Windows and Linux-based operating systems.

Along with the downloadable version of the install kit and software packages, this adapter is available as an edge module, the containerized version of the adapter that can be deployed using Edge Management on CONNECT.

What's new

The latest release of the AVEVA Adapter for Structured Data Files includes four new features:

  • Support for client-level failover. Warm and Cold failover modes are supported.

  • Enables an enhanced discovery process to automatically find data selection items within source files

  • Support for data from multiple assets in a single source file

  • Enables writing Unit Of Measure (UOM) to stream definition
