componentId

The ID (Identification) of the component1. It can be any alphanumeric string. A properly configured ComponentID follows these rules:

• Cannot contain leading or trailing space

• Cannot use the following characters:

  ></:?#[]@!

  amp;*"()\\+,;=|`{}

  Note: The ComponentId is added to each container message that an adapter component sends to an OMF (Open Message Format) endpoint. It is displayed as the data source information (point source) in PI Web API.
