Getting Started with the Historian SDK

The SDK is distributed for installation only on 64-bit operating systems, but can be used for developing both 32-bit and 64-bit applications.
The core binary of the SDK is an assembly called aahClientManaged.dll, which is a managed version of the Historian Client Access Layer (HCAL) and is called the managed HCAL.
The managed HCAL provides a subset of capabilities available in the native HCAL, which is used internally in the AVEVA Historian product.
