Prepare for connector installation

Before installing the connector, you must the following tasks.

1. Verify the host meets the software requirements for the connector.

   For more information, see Software and hardware requirements for connectors.

2. If you are upgrading from version 1.x, review the Upgrade to version 2.x procedure.

   If you are upgrading from version 2.0.1, you must verify the OPC UA Server Data Certificate Fields.

3. If the data source has additional requirements for installation, complete those tasks.

4. Configure Connector security for the connector and your network.

5. Identify both the administration port number and the administration group users.
