Verify data collection

For each Data Archive server, use PI System Explorer to confirm that the connector is collecting data.

Verify the connector service is started.

From the Windows Start menu, run the services.msc command.

In the Services window, verify the connector service status is Started.

Verify the connector is running.

Open PI Data Collection Manager.

In the Overview pane, verify that the Connector Status box shows the status Running with a green check mark (
).

Click the Connector Status box and verify the available button is Stop Connector.

Verify the data source is connected. Under Data Sources, verify that each data source shows the status Running with a green check mark (
).

Open PI System Explorer and click Database.

In the Select Database window, select the PI AF database that is configured to receive the data.

Double-click Elements.

Navigate to the PI AF element of interest.

Click the Attributes tab.
The PI AF attributes that are PI data references should have proper time stamps under the Time Stamp column.
