Download the PI AF Client install kit

Before you can install or upgrade PI AF Client, you must first download the install kit. The kit is downloaded from the AVEVA Support portal.

Note: Catalog files are separate downloadable files that are used for application verification. If you use allowlisting, install the catalog files associated with your AVEVA products to ensure that those products function as intended. Windows catalog files that have been digitally signed by AVEVA can be used as a digital signature for 3rd party and other unsigned components installed by AVEVA setup kits. This facilitates a trusted way to verify these components and may be used for allowlisting purposes. Prerequisites:

• You have access to the AVEVA Support portal.

• You have valid login credentials.

Procedure:

1. Sign in to the AVEVA Support portal.

2. On the AVEVA Support home page, select Products.

3. In the Products search box, enter:

   • PI AF Client <version number> install kit

   • Example: PI AF Client 2024 install kit

4. In the search results, select the version of the PI AF Client installation kit that you want to download.

5. On the Download Products page, locate: PI AF Client_<VersionNumber>.exe

6. In the Action column, select the Download icon.

7. In the licensing agreement dialog:

   1. Scroll to the end of the agreement.

   2. Select I Agree.

   3. Select Download.

8. If prompted, select Save, and then select OK to download the installation kit.

   Result: The PI AF Client installation kit is downloaded to your computer.
