Welcome to Asset Framework (AF) and PI System Explorer! This publication is intended for process engineers, plant operators, and field service technicians. PI AF provides a structured representation of industrial plant assets—such as equipment and processes. PI System Explorer is the software used to build and manage these models.

Asset Framework and PI System Explorer integrate with several AVEVA products including CONNECT data services, PI Notifications, Asset Analytics, PI Vision, and EDGE Data Store to promote AF data visibility and operational intelligence.
