AVEVA™ Production Management Web Client

Install Web Client

Before you install the Web Client, verify that you have the required hardware and software, as well as access to the PCS identity server on your computer. Installing the Web Client requires an administrator privilege.

Make sure that AVEVA Production Management service manager is running. This enables the Web Client service manager to identify which project databases it should connect to when you start running the microservices after the configuration.

To install the Web Client

  1. Right-click the AVEVA Production Management Web Client Setup.exe file and select Run as administrator.

  2. On the Welcome screen, click Next.

  3. Verify that the prerequisites are installed, then click Next.

  4. Read and agree to the license agreement, then click Next.

  5. On the Custom Setup screen, click Next.

    For the installation location, you can keep the default, or select a different path through the Browse button.

  6. On the Service Account screen, type your credentials, then click Next.

    For example: <DomainName>\<Username>

    This is a domain user configured as part of the Studio user group with all the required permissions, including access to Web API endpoints. The account you provide here is then configured to run the Web Client microservices.

  7. If you are ready to install the application, click Install.

  8. When the installation is complete, click Finish.

    The installer launches the Web Client configuration tool window. You can do the configuration right away or at a later time. For more information, see Configure the Web Client.
