Events in AVEVA Production Management can either be real or virtual. They are time events when a plant is not producing or is producing below the target rate or quality specification.
Events classification
Events classification is the process that enables you to predefine the categories of causes for events. This promotes consistency across the data set and better analysis.
Events record list
The AVEVA Production Management Web Client displays event records based on the default state, reporting point, and time and period filters. The records are also filtered according to the current start and end dates and times. If a record doesn't have an end date and time, an Active status is shown.
The event records are displayed through a list of cards, and each card may include the following high-level information:
Note The cause location and cause fields aren't visible in the card for unclassified events.
-
Event title (reporting point name or location)
You can configure the event title to display a more descriptive name through an evaluated field. For more information, see Customize an event title.
-
Start time and end time
-
Cause location

-

-
Event state (unclassified, unconfirmed, confirmed)
When you select an event card, additional details about the selected card are displayed on the card details pane next to it. The details pane may include tabs such as Context, Standard, and History, where the order in which they are displayed depends on the order their fields appear, similar to Production Analyst.
It's possible that the card information is out of sync with what is saved in the card details pane. This could happen if an event's details are updated by another user in Production Analyst or using a different browser. For those updates to appear on the card, you need to refresh your browser. Also, auto-refresh is not supported. When incoming events arrive, they don't show up in the card list unless you manually refresh the browser. The last refreshed time is shown just above the top right of the Events pane.
Events details
The details that are displayed in the Context and Standard tabs are based on the Studio properties configuration. For example:
-
If the IsMandatory property of a displayed field in either Context or Standard tab is set to true in Studio, you see an asterisk (*) next to it indicating a mandatory field, or
-
If the IsMandatory property is set to false, you see an (optional) tag next to the field. If you see the following symbol (!) on any of the tabs, this indicates that one or more mandatory fields need to be filled out.

For more information on the properties that control the fields that you see in the Web Client, see Studio properties affecting Web Client display.
