Add and configure a Knowledge reporting point

Knowledge uses reporting point fields to collect data to create Knowledge records automatically. Before you add a Knowledge reporting point, consider possible reporting point locations.

To add a Knowledge reporting point

  1. In Studio, right-click the folder of the location in the plant hierarchy or product hierarchy, point to Add Item, point to Reporting Points, and then click Knowledge. A new Knowledge reporting point appears.

  2. Rename the reporting point with a meaningful name. There are no special Knowledge reporting point properties to set.

  3. Configure the properties. For guidance in configuring the properties, see Knowledge reporting point properties.
